Allow the wax to freeze for about 10 minutes making sure that the wax isn t getting wet from your ice pack.

Again use the dull knife to remove any additional wax residue that may have frozen. Blot with a clean white cloth. Dampen a white cotton towel fold it in half and place it over the wax. Don t rub hard that wears carpet fibers.

The longer you wait the harder it will be to clean the wax stain. Place a piece of the brown paper bag over the candle wax spill. Run the iron over the paper keeping it in constant motion. Move the towel or paper as you go so there s always a fresh surface to absorb the wax.

Otherwise you risk pushing the wax deeper into the fibers if you try to wipe it up when it s wet. Wax doesn t take long to dry.
